Day 1: Arrival and pick up from Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to your Hotel

Day 1 of the 10-Day Luxury Uganda Safari Gorillas, Primates, and Big Five begins with a seamless pickup from Entebbe International Airport. Our experienced driver guide from Gorilla Page Safaris will be waiting to welcome you and provide a thorough briefing on your exciting 10-day Uganda Safari Tour and holiday. The drive to your hotel takes approximately 45 minutes, during which you’ll start immersing yourself in the beauty of Uganda.
Upon arrival at your hotel, you’ll check in and have the opportunity to unwind after your long journey. If time permits, we’ll visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or take a tour of Kampala. Here, you can explore Uganda’s rich history at sites like Kabaka’s Palace, the Uganda National Museum, the Namugongo Martyrs’ Shrines, and the Kasubi Tombs, a UNESCO-recognized site. Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking

Day 2 of your 10 Days Luxury Uganda Safari: Gorillas, Primates & Big Five. Start your day with an early morning breakfast, and then embark on a stunning panoramic drive northwest through the renowned Luwero Triangle. Along the way, we’ll make an enriching stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can encounter these magnificent Big Five members in their natural habitat.

Upon arrival at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you’ll dive into an exhilarating rhino trekking adventure, allowing you to observe these majestic creatures up close. Keep your camera ready; every moment will be unforgettable! After this thrilling experience, you’ll return for a delightful lunch before continuing your journey to Murchison Falls National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Early Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise – Hike to the Top of the Fall – Evening to Night Game Drive

Rise and shine for an invigorating early morning breakfast, gearing up for another thrilling adventure. Day 3 of your 10-Day Luxury Uganda Safari, featuring Gorillas, Primates, and the Big Five, kicks off with an early morning game drive along the captivating trails of the park, including Albert Trail, Buligi Trail, and Victoria Trail. Prepare to face an array of magnificent mammals, such as buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, bushbucks, and giraffes, before returning to your lodge for well-deserved relaxation and lunch.

In the afternoon, get ready for an unforgettable boat cruise upstream to the base of the falls. As you glide along the Nile, witness Nile crocodiles basking on the shores, elephants frolicking in the water, and herds of hippos yawning lazily in the shallows. Watch for stunning bird species, including the black bee-eater, grey crowned crane, and marabou stork. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the magnificent Murchison Falls as it roars through a narrow 8-meter gorge.

After the cruise, we’ll hike to the top of the falls for another exhilarating perspective. Following a brief 30-minute rest, gear up for a Unique Evening to Night game drive with an armed park ranger and spotlight torches. Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Bigodi Wetland and Community Visit

On day 4 of the 10-Day Luxury Uganda Safari Gorillas, Primates & Big Five, you will wake up early for a delicious breakfast and then drive to Kibale National Park, located in the Western region of Uganda in the Kabarole district. This drive will take about 5 hours and offer you magnificent scenic views of Uganda’s landscape as you drive to the park.
Route to your destination, you will have a lunch stopover in Fort Portal Tourism City, and upon arrival at the park, you will visit Bigodi Wetland for a Swamp walk. And during this walk, you will spot some butterfly species and birds like the Black-crowned Waxbill, White-spotted Fluff tail, White-breasted Negrofinch, Yellow-spotted Barbet, Black Bishop, Hairy-breasted Barbet, Yellow-billed Barbet, Brown-crowned Tchagra, Black & white Shrike-flycatcher, Western Nicator, Superb Sunbird, among others. You will then proceed for a community walk to see and taste the Gins brewed from bananas, craft making, coffee processing, and Candtenjoyce—cultural wil. Then, go to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park – Chimpanzee Trekking and later Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with Evening Game Drive

Wake up early and fuel up with a hearty breakfast as you kick off Day 5 of your 10-Day Luxury Uganda Safari, featuring Gorillas, Primates, and the Big Five. Dress appropriately in a long-sleeved shirt, khaki or jean trousers, a round cap, waterproof boots, and a heavy sweater to protect yourself from falling branches and unpredictable weather. Don’t forget to pack some snacks and plenty of water to keep you energized and hydrated during the trek, which can take 1 to 5 hours to find the Chimpanzees, depending on their location.

Your adventure begins at the Kanyachu Visitor Center, where you’ll receive a briefing on the essential dos and Don’ts of the park. Here, you will be assigned an experienced Park Ranger who will guide you through the forest and introduce you to a specific chimpanzee family. As you trek, keep your eyes peeled for a variety of primates, including black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, red colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Mantled guerezas, and a host of others, along with diverse bird species such as the olive long-tailed cuckoo and the blue-headed sunbird.

When you find the chimpanzees, you’ll enjoy an incredible full hour of observing their behaviors, social interactions, feeding habits, and playful antics. Don’t hesitate to engage with your Park Ranger and ask questions—this is your chance to learn firsthand.

After your chimp encounter, return to your lodge for lunch, check out, and embark on a scenic two-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

In the evening, gear up for an exhilarating game drive in a 4×4 safari vehicle guided by an expert who will help you spot wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, lions, hyenas, and many antelope species. This thrilling game drive will last approximately three hours, providing ample opportunities to capture stunning photos and deepen your understanding of the wildlife. After an exciting day, return to your lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

The afternoon promises the ultimate experience with a noteworthy boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a true Queen Elizabeth National Park gem. This narrow waterway, stretching over 32 km, links Lake George to Lake Edward and boasts the region’s highest concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles. This area is also home to various wildlife, including Topis, Aardvark, elephants, monkeys, Uganda kobs, hippos, leopards, and waterbucks, giving you ample opportunities for incredible sightings.

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Gorilla Trekking – Batwa Community Encounter and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

As you wake up to the enchanting sounds of birds singing in the sky, you will kick off Day 8 of your exhilarating 10-day Luxury Uganda Safari focused on Gorillas, Primates, and the Big Five with a hearty breakfast. Dress appropriately for the adventure ahead—opt for a long-sleeved shirt, sturdy khaki or denim trousers, a round cap, and waterproof boots to safeguard yourself against falling branches in the Impenetrable Forest and unexpected weather. Don’t forget to pack some snacks and ample water to stay hydrated during your trek.

Next, you will head to the park’s headquarters for an essential briefing on the N’ts of interacting with Don’ts while with the mountain gorillas. Here, a knowledgeable ranger will be assigned to you, guiding you throughout the expedition and introducing you to a specific gorilla family to search for. Depending on their location, the trek might take anywhere from 1 to 7the gorilla families, so prepare for an unforgettable experience.

Throughout your journey, you’ll encounter a variety of fascinating primate species, including black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, grey mangabeys, and blue monkeys. When you finally lock eyes with the gentle giants of Africa—the dark-furred Great Apes—you’ll have the opportunity to spend an hour observing these majestic creatures as they go about their daily lives. This is a rare chance to learn about their behaviors and help them acclimate to human presence while having a knowledgeable guide on hand to answer any questions.

You may also spot other forest dwellers along the way, such as various bird species, elephants, and antelopes. All our Safari vehicles are Toyota Land-cruiser 4×4 with pop-up roofs. The vehicles are serviced and maintained to a very high standard before, during and after every safari. Paradise Adventure Vacations Ltd offering all-wheel drive safari vehicles suitable for off-road driving, which enable travelers to discover the magical areas of East Africa in a pleasant and reliable manner.

Our fleet consists of 4×4 Toyota Land cruisers with a hinged roof and skylights above the front seats. The hinged roof offers two main advantages: it provides shade without restricting the view, so that you can enjoy your safari even in the very sunny hours of the day. It also allows a 360-degree all-round view.
