The 4-Day Double Gorilla Trekking Adventure at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp offers an unforgettable experience in Uganda’s renowned Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will have the opportunity to encounter two different groups of Mountain Gorillas on separate days. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is one of Uganda’s oldest rainforests, estimated to be over 25000 years old. The park is home to nearly half of the world’s population of Mountain Gorillas, making it an ideal location for gorilla trekking and habituation. The park features various sectors, including Nkuringo, Buhoma, Ruhija, and Rushaga.
In addition to the gorillas, Bwindi is rich in biodiversity, hosting 120 species of mammals, such as elephants, duikers, buffaloes, golden cats, bush pigs, giant forest hogs, black-fronted duikers, clawless otters, side-striped jackals, civets, and numerous bats and rodents. The park is also home to around 350 bird species, including the handsome francolin, purple sunbird, red-headed blue bill, African blue cuckoo, regal sunbird, breasted sunbird, and Rwenzori turaco.
