Murchison Falls National Park, located in Uganda’s stunning North Western region, spans 3,840 square kilometers and teeming with diverse wildlife. You’ll encounter approximately 76 mammal species, including Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Giraffes, and Uganda Kobs. The park is also rich in primates, featuring black and white colobus, red-tailed, blue-red colobus, and L’Hoest monkeys. Birdwatchers will be delighted with around 451 bird species, including the majestic grey crowned crane, the rare shoe bill, giant kingfishers, giant herons, marabou storks, black-headed lapwings, and black-bellied bustards, along with a variety of other stunning avian life. Day 1: Arrival and Pick up from Entebbe International Airport or your Hotel – Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park with a Stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

You’ll be warmly welcomed and briefed about the exciting journey ahead. Our first stop will be the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the premier destination in Uganda, where you can experience these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Here, you’ll have the chance to track the majestic white rhinos alongside some captivating antelopes and birds. After an unforgettable tracking experience, you’ll enjoy a delightful lunch before we continue our adventure into Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 2: Murchison falls National Park – Morning Game drive – Launch Cruise – Hike to Top of the falls 

Rise and shine for an invigorating early morning breakfast, and gear up for another thrilling adventure. Day 2 of your 5 Days Chobe Safari Lodge & Paraa Safari Lodge Murchison Falls Safari is set to kick off with an exciting game drive through the park’s renowned trails, including Albert, Buligi, and Victoria. Prepare to encounter an impressive array of mammal species up close: buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, bushbucks, giraffes, warthogs, Jackson’s hartebeest, crocodiles, hippos, and Uganda kobs, to name a few. After this exhilarating experience, you’ll return to your lodge to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon, you’ll embark on an unforgettable boat cruise upstream to the breathtaking bottom of the falls, lasting about three hours. During this journey, you’ll witness Nile crocodiles basking in the shade, herds of hippos playing in the water, and elephants quenching their thirst along the riverbanks. Bird enthusiasts should be on alert for stunning species such as the shoebill, black bee-eater, grey crowned crane, marabou stork, Malachite kingfisher, Abyssinian ground hornbill, long-tailed nightjar, Senegal thick-knee, and black-headed lapwing, among others. Prepare to be amazed as you take in the magnificence of Murchison Falls, where the waters thunder through an 8-meter narrow gorge.

After the cruise, you’ll hike to the top of the falls for another awe-inspiring moment. Capture every breathtaking view to create lasting memories of your adventure in the Pearl of Africa. Following a brief 30-minute rest, you’ll set off for a unique evening and night game drive with an armed park ranger. Equipped with spotlight torches, you’ll have the thrilling opportunity to observe nocturnal animals in action, including hyenas, leopards, lions, bush babies, buffaloes, elephants, and grazing hippos. Finally, you’ll return to your accommodation for a well-deserved dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Chimpanzee Tracking in Budongo Forest

On Day 3 of your Safari, you’ll start with a delicious early morning breakfast before checking out of your lodge with a packed lunch. Prepare for a scenic one-hour drive to Budongo Forest on the Escarpment Northeast of Lake Albert. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a comprehensive briefing on the essential dos and Don’ts of interacting with the chimpanzees. You’ll also be assigned to a specific chimpanzee group and paired with an experienced ranger guide, who will expertly lead you through the forest.
As you embark on your trek, look for other fascinating primate species, including striking black-and-white colobus monkeys, playful olive baboons, and agile red-tailed monkeys. When you locate the chimpanzees, spend an exhilarating hour observing their daily activities and capturing stunning photographs. After this incredible experience, enjoy your packed lunch before returning to your lodge for dinner and a well-deserved overnight stay.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park – Nature walk with Relaxation

Having had a great night, you will have your lovely morning breakfast as you enjoy the Sounds of the mighty waters of the River Nile and Hippos while in the water. You will then go for a guided Nature walk with an armed ranger guide who will help you spot mammal species like buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, Uganda kobs, and different bird species. You will later return to your lodge for a mouth-watering lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge.

All our Safari vehicles are Toyota Land-cruiser 4×4 with pop-up roofs. The vehicles are serviced and maintained to a very high standard before, during and after every safari. Paradise Adventure Vacations Ltd offering all-wheel drive safari vehicles suitable for off-road driving, which enable travelers to discover the magical areas of East Africa in a pleasant and reliable manner.

Our fleet consists of 4×4 Toyota Land cruisers with a hinged roof and skylights above the front seats. The hinged roof offers two main advantages: it provides shade without restricting the view, so that you can enjoy your safari even in the very sunny hours of the day. It also allows a 360-degree all-round view.
